japanese ica grading criteria is bloody crap. just because many people in the class are scoring As doesn't mean that there should be any moderation, and mind you, it's moderate down. i don't see why i can get a big fat C when i know my written paper and oral tests scored near full-marks. there's no reason why i should be penalised a grade, or even two, because of my weekly assignments, especially when i handed in all my assignments and that they're all properly done. a few occasional mistakes shouldn't have cost me a grade. and in the first place, shouldn't the ica be emphasized more on the written and oral tests instead of the assignments? aren't the written and oral tests the more important components of the ica? if that's not the case then study for f***?! it's just like saying class participation marks take up a higher percentage than class tests. i don't understand why can't everybody get their As if we're all of A standards. it isn't fair at all. there's no such thing as 'too many As, so must reduce the number' for goodness sake.
it's gonna take extra freaking hard effort to score in ICA2 next week, just to get back a B. i don't think it'll be so easy to jump two grades to an A, considering the fact that too many people are scoring As, competition very high.
just needed to vent, not because i'm a sore loser, but because i feel cheated.
